I'm being very generous with my review. I honestly rate it a 2.5. I really struggled to get through this book. I almost put it down, but I powered through. It was annoying, but I had to know what happened. Thus rating it 3 stars instead of 2.

Lets start with the characters. The only character I liked was Sarah who was Kylie's friend. Kylie cried (and I'm not exaggerating) about 70% of the time. Yes, she's young (20-21) and had a child at 19. Too many tears. Her best quality was always putting her daughter first. This I admired.

I was not a fan of Evan. One of the worst hero's I've come across. He was weak, immature, and unreliable. A horrible boyfriend. Plus there was drama concerning another woman. His ex-girlfriend. Who he claimed was "only a friend". Yes, when he and Kylie had an argument, she was the he ran to. And slept with. Nope! Not ok.

So in summary....drama,drama, drama, crying, crying, crying, nonsense and more nonsense. The end. Oh wait, I did like the epilogue.

My first read by this author. I'm not sure I'll be checking out any others.

Stripped edition by CA Harms Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews

Young love isn't always all that it’s cracked up to be. Abandoned by her husband, left to care for her baby with no money and not even completed high school has left her in a difficult spot. Her daughter is her top priority. She is determined to not only survive but also thrive; she is willing to do whatever it takes to care for her daughter. Even if it means stripping.

As the story unfolds you are made aware that she does not enjoy this job at all, she is only doing it as a means to an end – providing for her daughter. She is doing well and has people who have become her family. She normally avoids eye contact with any of the patrons, but in this particular night she cannot stop staring at a devastatingly gorgeous businessman. His eyes remain on her as well. By chance they meet again. The pull to each other is very strong.

He has focused his life on his career and family business. His parents have “guided” many areas of his life. He has never felt this way before. He thinks about her all the time and soon finds his priorities are changing.

They both will face conflicts and pasts. Will their connection and draw to each other be strong enough?

You cannot help but to fall in love with these two characters. Kylie faces dire circumstances and refuses to let it ruin her; she fights. She fights for her daughter. She is a strong woman, but she is cautious because she has been burned by her husband and family. She feels the attraction to Evan, but tries to deny it and brush him off. But he won’t give up. He surprises her even more when he is not only accepting of her daughter, but also starts to grow a special bond with the little one.

I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys contemporary romance with a bit of angst, sexual tension and bit steamy! I couldn't put Stripped down and read it in one sitting. You will LOVE the story and the characters.
Kylie's husband has walked out and left her alone to care for their 5 month old daughter...no rent money, car payments overdue, all around bad scene...you get the picture...so she takes a job stripping to pay for all her bills and meets rich and sexy as hell executive Evan.
Of course Kylie and Evan fall for each other but she can't get over the fact she still has a husband, Evan is way above her in social standing, there is a jealous and angry EX girlfriend lurking around who wants her gone and Evan's snobby parents don't approve of Kylie.
It is a mess of a drama...and after a death, bar fights, childish behavior involving temper tantrums and many tears (shed by both males and females), ugly parental interference, walking in and out of each other's lives, wishy-washy emotional rollercoaster...WHEW!!! I needed a drink, a valium and a nap after reading this one...it got to be too much for me at times with the tears rolling down the faces...and stressful to read.
The only good thing was there was definitely chemistry between characters and an HEA with some funny parts thrown in as well (you can't have such serious melodrama without some levity to even things out).
Be prepared to get mad, maybe cry and definitely have fun with this read.

**** 4 **** "breaking free from the pasts of everyone" stars
I enjoyed this book, and it was a pretty easy read. I think that Kylie did what she felt she had to do when she started stripping. I liked that when she and Brad got pregnant that they got married. Her parents did not approve of her choices, and as such she felt she could not turn to them when the going got tough. So she did what she felt she could to support her daughter and herself. I hated that Brad left and did not just walk away, and that she did not at some point just file for abandonment of their marriage, but I also feel like she was young and without any guidance in her life she may not have known that might have been available to her.
She meets Evan one night while stripping. He is good looking, rich, and as they start dating is good to her daughter, which are all pluses in my book. I hated that she was not honest from the beginning about where she was at in her marriage. Evan and Kylie have some great chemistry and there are some hot scenes in the book. I liked where they were going until they started to fight about things. Every couple has misunderstandings and they fight. What drove me nuts about Kylie and Evan was that they would walk out on each other, and not resolve their issues. I had to remind myself several times that she is young, but Evan was a bit older. It stands to reason that she had a good home life as a child and probably did not witness all this push and pull, so I just did not understand it. There are plenty of other detractors for this couple - His family, Brad coming back, her marriage, that I felt them never being a strong united front was more damaging at times to their relationship.
Overall I like this book, and think that you will as well. I was given a copy to review, but also purchased it.
